Seeing familiar objects or patterns in otherwise random or unrelated objects or patterns is called pareidolia. It’s a form of apophenia, which is a more general term for the human tendency to seek patterns in random information. Everyone experiences it from time to time. Seeing the famous man in the moon is a classic example, or a bunny in a cloud, or a face in tree bark. The ability to experience pareidolia is more developed in some people and less in others. Look at the photo of this pendant and test your own ability to see things that aren’t there!

This pendant is one-of-a-kind, handmade and unique; therefore, duplication is not possible. However, the enameling technique I use to make this particular style pendant tends to create hidden images.....maybe the next pendant will have a hidden dog or cat, or perhaps a panda bear or bird! Who knows! It's so FUN to see what comes out of the kiln after firing the enamel.
